Christian family groups are fighting tooth-and-nail against a program that would assign a state guardian for every child in Scotland. They are taking this case to the UK Supreme Court. This introduces a discussion on sphere sovereignty, first framed by Abraham Kuyper who saw the state encroaching upon the family sphere. We interact with a Patheos article, Killing the Church with Sunday School. Is the problem Sunday school, or is the problem an inoculation because of a too minuscule dose? When parents give their children 45 minutes of churchy stuff and 45 hours of secular education per week, guess where the average kid is heading.
