The teenage phenomenon and peer culture has captured the modern world. The thing was born on October 12, 1944—now almost 80 years ago. Only the 98-year-old men and women would have been there to commemorate this revolution. For 5,944 years of world history, there was no peer orientation and peer pressure as what kids face today. Here, we bring a biblical comparison between fearing God (and honoring parents) and fearing peers. The destructive consequences of this social revolution are everywhere now. But, how do we pick up the pieces and rebuild a healthy family and church culture today? This program offers a start to the conversation.
About Your Host, Kevin Swanson
Homeschooled himself in the 1960's and 70's, Kevin Swanson and his wife, Brenda, are now homeschooling their five children. Since graduating from his homeschool and then serving as student body president of a large west coast university, he has gone on to other leadership positions in corporate management, church, and other non-profits.
